these terms cover using tailorpilot: the browser extension, the dashboard, and the backend behind them. by creating an account or using the extension, you're agreeing to them.
tailorpilot reads a job posting, rewrites your cv to match it, and checks every rewritten claim against your real cv and achievements before showing it to you. anything that can't be traced back gets flagged, not silently kept. it's a tool to speed up honest tailoring, not to write a cv for a background you don't have.
the ai generation runs on your own anthropic, openai, or google api key, connected in settings. you're responsible for that provider's own costs, rate limits, and terms of service, tailorpilot has no visibility into or control over your billing with them. if a key stops working (expired, revoked, out of credit), tailoring stops working until you fix it on the provider's side.
the grounding check reduces the chance of a fabricated or exaggerated claim making it into a tailored cv, it doesn't guarantee against every possible error. ai models make mistakes. always read a tailored cv and cover letter before you send them anywhere, you're the one applying for the job, not tailorpilot.
you agree not to:
you're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. you can delete your stored cv, achievements, connected keys, and tailoring history at any time from settings, see the privacy policy for exactly what that does and doesn't remove.
your cv, achievements, and everything tailorpilot generates from them are yours. we don't claim ownership over your content, and we don't use it to train any model. the tailorpilot product itself, its name, design, and code, belongs to us.
tailorpilot is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that a tailored cv will get you an interview, a callback, or a job. it's a tool, not a promise of an outcome.
to the maximum extent permitted by law, tailorpilot isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including anything related to a job application outcome or a mistake in a tailored document that you didn't catch before sending it.
you can stop using tailorpilot and delete your data at any time. we can suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these terms, particularly the acceptable use section above.
if these terms change in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top of this page. continuing to use tailorpilot after a change means you've accepted it.
